A German Chocolate cake layered in Coconut Pecan custard filling & frosted in Ganache & Vanilla Buttercream. This Cake is an impression of the quote above and is depicted as a three-dimensional heart standing erect with its wings wide open as if in a flutter.Tinted buttercream in various hues of coral pink, red and white has been textured & a spray of edible gold paint has been applied to bring in the richness to the appearance.The wings have been handcrafted from edible wafer paper. This very first gravity-defying creation from my Oven was made for Reema D'Silva as a surprise gift from her husband Rajesh D'Souza for Valentine's Day.
